Top 3 Helpful Websites When Researching a New Fence.

It's always best to be armed with all the right information when you are going to get a new fence or have one replaced. It pays to do a bit of researching first so you don't get caught out later. There are different laws in place across Australia but for Melbourne Fences and Mornington Peninsula Fences the Victrian Fencing Act is the governing legistation.

Mornington Peninsula Fences have over 50 years combined fencing industry experience, so we are well qualified to provide you with the right information when planning your new fence.

The following websites can also be helpful:

  1. Got an issue with a neighbour about a boundary fence? This is the place to go: https://www.disputes.vic.gov.au/information-and-advice/fencing

  2. Need a fence that is higher than the standard? You may need a permit. Have a look here: https://www.mornpen.vic.gov.au/Building-Planning/Building/Fences

  3. Not sure of your rights? The Fencing Act is the place to go (although we can help too!) https://www.legislation.vic.gov.au/in-force/acts/fences-act-1968/072

Of course if you have chosen Mornington Peninsula Fences for your fence building we can guide you in all of the legislation. Please get in contact with Mornington Peninsula Fences if you require anymore information.
